This recurring event is designed specifically for the entrepreneurial, high-tech community.

The event is always open to anyone to attend, and, it's free for CBIC members and a mere $10 for non-members. See, it pays to be a member of CBIC! Join CBIC today. 

This happy hour features specials negotiated by CBIC for our guests  -- on occasion, our host and/or sponsor provides complimentary snacks and/or drinks, too. The recurring monthly events provide a monthly opportunity for tech enthusiasts to socialize, collaborate, share ideas and form professional relationships. Designed specifically for the entrepreneurial, high-tech community, this happy hour is casual. No panel discussions. No formal program. Occasionally we’ll throw in tech entrepreneur pitches for added fun and a few words from our sponsors.

Open to all tech businesses, employees, technologists, and anyone interested in our region’s tech scene. We do ask that you RSVP via Eventbrite so we know you’re coming, but we also accommodate walk-in guests.

Personal Brand: Know, Feel, Do

At our GO Connect launch, which was held earlier this year, over 50 attendees had the opportunity to engage in a design thinking activity that made them rethink the way networking is done. This time, we will be offering another interactive exercise on personal branding. Personal Brand: Know, Feel, Do is an exciting exploration into what impression we are leaving on those we connect with!

We hope that you will be able to attend and that you will share this information with anyone you think might be interested in networking and connecting with new people and opportunities. The event is free but pre-registration is required due to limited space. GO Connect Workshop: Unlocking Personal Brand

Networking is often seen as a song and dance routine, marking off checklists, and at times a forced social pressure. Often it can feel more like a task to find the right people at the right time. The moment you’re able to come up for air – growth opportunities look more like survival mode and you may find yourself drowning in a sea of your business card collection which is now brimming over your dresser drawer. In partnership with The Spill Teem®, we have decided to offer a full, in-depth look at the topic of Personal Branding – GO Connect Workshop: Unlocking Personal Brand is a deeper dive into what it means to rediscover ourselves in a world that wants us to be someone else. Expect to reignite the authentic parts of your personal and professional journey that drive the best results. 

The workshop will be held on Thursday, September 13th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (1701-A Allied Street).
