Tech On Tap
Tech on Tap provides a monthly opportunity for tech enthusiasts to socialize, collaborate, share ideas, and form professional relationships. Designed specifically for the entrepreneurial, high-tech community, this happy hour is casual. No panel discussions. No formal program. Occasionally, there will be tech entrepreneur pitches for added fun and a few words from sponsors or hosts.
Open to all tech businesses, employees, technologists, and anyone interested in our region’s tech scene.

Charlottesville Entrepreneurs and Espresso (CE2)
Charlottesville Entrepreneurs and Espresso, or C-E2, a monthly event series, is a casual, caffeine fueled gathering of learning for entrepreneurs at all stages of venture creation. C-E2 will take place at 8:00am on the third Tuesday of each month. This is a free event open to the entire entrepreneurship community.
Women In Data Science Conference
WiDS Charlottesville is an independent event organized by the UVA School of Data Science to coincide with the annual Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference held at Stanford University and an estimated 150+ locations worldwide.
All genders are invited to attend WiDS regional events, which feature outstanding women doing outstanding work.

17th Annual Festival of Cultures
Many Cultures, Many Gifts, One Home
The Charlottesville Festival of Cultures is a space where all can meet, share in and learn about each other’s cultures. This family-friendly event is virtual this year and includes music, dance, cultural presentations and storytelling through permanent exhibitions, interactive discussions and live-streamed performances. The event is an opportunity to build bridges of understanding between new Americans and established residents and between different cultures residing in our community.
Explore the Cultural Exhibitions, Live Events and Community Collaborations lined up for May 7th-13th. The Festival, now in its 17th year, is FREE and open to the public. Organized by the Thomas Jefferson Adult and Career Education (TJACE) Program at Piedmont Virginia Community College, the Festival is made possible through the involvement and support of many additional individuals and organizations in the community.
Remote Job Seekers’ Workshop
Shift/Enter provides educational and career development resources, in a welcoming and inclusive environment, for the burgeoning technical workforce in Charlottesville and the surrounding area.
The Remote Job Seekers' Workshop agenda includes:

Beekeeping Day Camp
In-person, hands-on, beginner's beekeeping course. 6 hours of instruction to learn all you need to know to get started in beekeeping. Includes light lunch and (sanitized) bee suit rental. There will be in-hive instruction. Event will be all outdoors and socially distanced.

Virtual 4 Our Freedom 5K
This race benefits eight local organizations who provide much needed service and support to our military, veterans, and their families who live in Central Virginia.
Bruce Barnes Mile
Featuring the fastest & most scenic mile course in Virginia! This unique one mile road race is all downhill, with its steepest descent over the last quarter mile. The race finishes within view of Lady Astor's famous mansion, "Mirador." The runners are treated to gorgeous panoramic mountain views on their cool down after the race back to the Greenwood Community Center.
